Asher's eccentric personality make him somewhat of a mercurial figure of New York's Art scene, but it hasn't stopped him from making some of the most evocative and honest work produced in New York City over the past three decades.
He has had solo shows at Tomio Koyama, Tokyo; Gavin Brown's enterprise, New York; Blum & Poe, Los Angeles; Paula Cooper Gallery, New York; Aurel Scheibler, Cologne; Factual Nonsense, London; White Columns, New York, among others.
